Week 4: Church Choir

 

Every week I go to church and finally decided to join the choir that students are able to join in on. I was really nervous at first, the last time I sang in a choir was all throughout middle school but nothing since then. We were given books to read songs off and also everyone had their own mic. The group meets above where everyone else sits, on the gallery balcony. I love being able to sing directly to God, having the ability to do so is something I'm very thankful for. It's like a bird singing for the person that has fed them, a sign of thankfulness. In the end, most of the students go to the Newman Center right next to the church to socialize and eat snacks.
