Week 12: Newman Center
HAPPY SEMANA SANTA! ✝️🕊️ This week, I have stopped at Newman for adoration slots. It's solo time with just God and I to talk, pray, and meditate. It's crazy how you feel like floating when you go into deep prayer. Your body doesn't feel physical anymore; you feel the frequency and vibrations instead. You feel your heartbeat pumping into your hands as they're in prayer formation. I think to myself how beautiful it is. The Newman Center offers a great quiet room to pray in; it has a nice window that shines light through and also incense to smell.
This week, I advise you to pray big. The Father at Palm Sunday (one Sunday before Easter due to not having easter Mass here) said to ask God for huge things this week. Many moons ago, this week was the week that Jesus died and was revived. Semana Santa, or Holy Week, is a deeply religious celebration observed in many Spanish-speaking countries, especially in Spain and Latin America, commemorating the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It features elaborate processions with participants dressed in traditional robes, carrying religious statues through the streets accompanied by music and candlelight. The week is marked by reflection, devotion, and a mix of solemn and festive traditions unique to each region.
Stay healthy and hydrated. Bless be to God for a beautiful week and Jesus Christ for his ultimate sacrifice.
